InTechnic is one of the UK's leading emission control companies, installing and maintaining emission control devices on coaches nationwide.
The company was experiencing severe operational challenges due to its reliance on a number of different systems, supplemented by spreadsheets, to manage their data.
This fragmented approach was inefficient and cumbersome, particularly in tracking engineers who conducted site visits. What was needed at InTechnic was smoothing of the workflow, since paper-based documentation was what normally happened on-site, with engineers returning with images and data files that needed extensive administrative processing.
Moreover, the procedure for completing job cards involved manual work and was prone to errors that needed great attention to detail, so that timesheet entries were accurate for proper client billing and engineer compensation at month's end.
Additionally, their current CRM system required manual entry of Excel-based invoices and multiple spreadsheets to store information critical to their operations, such as fleet data regarding buses.
InTechnic was seeking an integrated, customized system to connect all their departments and simplify their overall work process.
Based on the requirements of InTechnic, we developed an overall bespoke system customized to meet their needs. This solution will allow storing of all the information about buses, which include various operators, depots, and fleet data under one roof.
Strong interlinking between them was ensured while providing scalability for future expansion of data.
Major features of our solution: a. Digital Job Cards: We have digitized the process of job cards and made it easy to create them.Moreover, it prints if that is needed. It highly reduces paper and manual entry, hence increasing efficiency and accuracy.
Engineer Scheduling and Job Creation: It will allow engineers to be scheduled directly on the system and thus create a job. This will keep things running without much administrative burden.
MIS Reports and Personnel:
Different MIS and KPI reports are generated through the system. Such reports will give a very valuable insight into operations for informed decisions by InTechnic. The proposed system will address InTechnic problems appropriately and work on their operation for better overall efficiency.
